While most tend to think of public speaking as keynotes and speeches in front of large audiences, it is so much more.

This course will teach skills that translate into better interpersonal communication, including negotiating, interviewing and influencing, as well as oratory skills to give better business presentations, corporate seminars, legal arguments and persuasive speeches.

22 February to 5 April 2023, Wednesday evenings from 16:00 to 17:30 (seven sessions)

This course will be held remotely, most likely on Zoom - exact details will be sent to registered participants a few days before the course.

Course format

The course will consist of one 90-minute session per week for seven consecutive weeks.

Each session will start with a 45 to 60-minute lecture, followed by time for questions and discussion.

Certificate

A certificate of attendance from UCT will be issued to those who attend all seven sessions of the course.
