This four-hour course sets out what people serving bodies corporate as trustees must and may not do. It is a must-attend for anyone working with, currently serving as, or considering serving as trustee and covers matters such as fiduciary duties, decision-making, trustee meetings and authority required to carry out certain actions on behalf of the body corporate.

Presenter

Ané de Klerk: An admitted Attorney, Ané obtained her BA(Law) and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch before joining a leading Cape Town based law firm’s sectional titles developments division. She went on to gain invaluable practical experience as a Property Portfolio Manager at one of the country’s biggest managing agencies before heading back into practice as a Community Schemes Specialist. She was first approached to be a guest lecturer at the University of Cape Town in 2017 and has been presenting UCT online short courses on subjects involving community schemes since 2018. She has also partnered with UCT to develop her own course on Sectional Titles Schemes Management - the only one in the field earning its graduates a certificate from this world class tertiary institution. Today, as director and head of The Advisory’s Courses division, she trains industry role players by way of online short courses as well as online and in person seminars and workshops tailored to community schemes management.
