Data is essential to the digital economy, Al, and digital public infrastructure. Legitimate and effective data governance requires coherent regulations, sound policies, capable institutions, and appropriate technologies.
This twelve-hour course examines data governance as a dynamic system operating at national, regional, and continental levels. Participants will explore key policy issues including cybersecurity, privacy, economic inclusion, and personal data protection grounded in human rights, and how trusted data environments can advance the single digital market under the African Continental Free Trade Area.
This course will be held remotely, most likely on Zoom - exact details will be sent to registered participants a few days before the course.
