Bio

Naleen Jeram is a Legal Advice Manager at Momentum Corporate, a division of Momentum Metropolitan Life Limited. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cape Town (Law Faculty). He is the former Deputy Pension Funds Adjudicator. In 1996, Naleen obtained his LLB from the University of Cape Town, and was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer in 1998. In 2004 he obtained his LLM from the University of Cape Town, receiving a distinction for his dissertation on section 37C of the Pension Funds Act and the difficulties it creates for pension fund boards.

Naleen has published several articles on pension law issues in peer-reviewed and accredited journals and has conducted various training sessions for advocates and attorneys. He has designed and presented short courses in pension law for both undergraduate and postgraduate students at various faculties and has guest-lectured at many Schools for Legal Practice and given presentations at various conferences, seminars and workshops.
