Imran Daniels, pictured, has been awarded the prestigious Joseph Carrère Fox International Fellowship and accepted into the Yale Graduate School in the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Mr. Daniels is currently working on a minor-dissertation to complete his Masters of Laws degree in International Taxation at UCT under the supervision of A/Prof Johann Hattingh from the Department of Commercial Law and Prof Jennifer Roeleveld of the Department of Finance & Tax. The Fox Fellowship will allow him residential access at Yale for a year to pursue his research.  Mr. Daniel’s research focusses on the compatibility of Controlled Foreign Company legislation with Model-based bilateral tax treaties to aid emerging jurisprudence in fiscal policies for developing countries. Only a handful of annual Fox Fellow researcher titles are awarded globally, and Mr. Daniels is the only South African recipient for 2017-2018.
