Ms. Salona Lutchmann (below left) and Ms. Helena Stoop (below right) were promoted from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer. 

Ms. Tabeth Masengu, (below) from the Democratic, Governance and Research Unit, has been promoted from Research Officer to Senior Research Officer.

Professor Jaco Barnard-Naude  (below) was appointed as the British Academy’s Newton Advanced Fellow in the School of Law at the University of Westminster. The research that he will be focusing on deals with spatial justice in post-colonial jurisdictions; the legacy of apartheid’s legally enforced spatiality and the spatial hegemonies of neoliberal order.

Ms. Silindile Buthelezi (below), a lecturer in the Department of Commercial Law,   is the recipient of the very prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship, a programme that was created in 2014 by former US president Barack Obama and is named after former South African president Nelson Mandela.
