The Law Faculty has, this week, welcomed all its new undergraduate and postgraduate students - with information sessions, Faculty and campus tours, Law Library introductions, celebrations and more. Our Undergraduate LLBs have completed a full 3-day Orientation, our research students at Masters and PhD level have had a week-long induction, and our coursework Masters and PGDiploma students have had a day of sessions on who to navigate the Faculty.

We hope new students at all levels feel like they know a bit more about who is who in the Faculty, and where to find information they need.  With basics like the cafeteria, coffee supplies and the library covered, the rest of this week was about meeting the Law Student Councils (Undergraduate and Postgraduate), hearing about course choices and options, knowing where various lecture theatres and classrooms are, and getting a sense of the wealth of resources available to UCT's Law Students.

Thanks to our Student Councils, the Orientation Leaders, and the members of staff who made this week happen.  The week of 3 Feb - 7 Feb should be more about fun and socialising, before the real academic work kicks off on Monday 10 February.

Welcome to you all - and wishing you a great 2020!
