The finals of the Kader Asmal Moot Court Competition took place on 9 May and the UCT team of Natasha Salant and Andrew Attieh (left) were narrowly beaten by UWC.

Natasha and Andrew were the second and third best oralists respectively in the competition. ‘Both of them are in the postgraduate law stream and so have only been studying law for the past four months,’ commented Moot team coach Jean Wilke, lecturer in the Private Law Department. ‘I am very proud of both UCT teams who took part and must commend them on their written and oral argument, which was of a very good standard given the amount of time that they had to prepare for the competition.’
