Sophie Nakueira's research featured in Max Mag
Max Planck Community Magazine, Max Mag, featured Sophie Nakueira's research and its contribution to humanitarian aid. Sophie is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institute for Social Anthropology at the Max Planck Institute in Germany and a research fellow in the Global Risk Governance Programme.
Sophie leads the African component of the EU funded Horizon 2020 project, 'VULNER' . This project investigates how the law assesses and addresses the vulnerability of asylum seekers and refugees in practice. The VULNER project focuses on Uganda and South Africa among other countries around the world to understand how the legal and policy frameworks address the protection needs of those who seek asylum in these countries.
