Dr. Cristina Zackseski, University of Brasilia visits the University of Cape Town

Dr. Cristina Zackseski, Professor of Criminology and Criminal Law at the Law School of the University of Brasília, is a visiting scholar at the Global Risk Governance programme until the end of 2022.

During her research visit she is exploring mutual research interests in security governance and risk management relevant to Brazil and South Africa. This will include both environmental but also other topics on harmscapes affecting the human condition and planetary futures.

Her aim is to establish an institutional partnership to carry out joint studies and create opportunities for student and faculty exchange programmes.
