Participants of this event will get an exclusive sneak preview into the new E4J Module on Sustainable Livelihoods and Community Involvement in Preventing and Combating Wildlife, Forest and Fisheries Crime.

This session will share insights and ideas on how to teach on the role that local communities play in preventing and combating wildlife crime. While this event is inspired by cases from Namibia, it will provide global insights.

Dr. Annette Hübschle will draw upon material from the E4J University Module Series on Wildlife Crime and apply it in an interactive classroom-style setting. Using the material of this soon-to-be-published E4J Module, she will teach on the history of conservation, community conservancies and structural drivers of illegal hunting. For the second part of the session, Dr. Hübschle will invite guest speakers from Namibia who are working at community-level to combat wildlife crime to share their insights with the class.

This session will offer invaluable insights for everyone interested in wildlife crime, community involvement and remote teaching in general.
