Ms Caitlin Le Roith
Caitlin Le Roith is a lecturer in the Department of Private Law. She holds a BSocSci, LLB, and LLM from the University of Cape Town and is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Her research and teaching interests lie primarily in the law of obligations, especially the law of delict, and in critical approaches to private law and its relationship with social justice and human rights. Her LLM dissertation entitled On the extinctive prescription of personal injury claims in South Africa examines the impact of the Prescription Act 68 of 1969 on delictual debts and on the rights of victims of delicts.
