Post Graduate Writing Centre Tutors
The law faculty writing centre is open to students for free writing consultations. Academic writing is a continuous project which can always be improved. We assist students at all stages of the writing process.
Tutors are currently available for online consultations. In order to make an appointment please email LawPGtutors@uct.ac.za.
You can make an appointment to:
- discuss and plan an outline of your writing during an online consultation; or
- send us an excerpt of your work (maximum 3000 words at a time) on which we will provide feedback during a consultation.
Please include in your email the degree and department in which you are registered, and if there is anything in particular you would like us to provide feedback on. Feedback consists of guidance on structure, how to research, and how to write clearly and effectively. Tutors do not provide proofreading or editing assistance. Please make appointments when there is time to spare – help cannot be provided with assignments a day or two prior to the deadline.

Please contact the relevant Teaching Assistant if you would like assistance with regards to any general and academic issues relating to your programme.
