From 1-3 April 2019, Popo Mfubu attended Second Biennial Conference for Law and Society in Africa in Cairo, Egypt hosted jointly by the Centre for Law and Society and the American University in Cairo. The purpose of the conference was to bring together African scholars, academics, writers and practitioners to present and discuss solutions to problems plaguing Africa around the topic of “Africa and the Middle East in an Era of Global Fragility”. At the conference, Popo Mfubu presented on a panel focusing of migration with a particular focus on forced migration.For further details on the conference see
