Varsha Patel

Varsha is an admitted attorney. She has experience teaching Civil Procedure and Business Law. She has completed a Master of Laws degree in Criminology, Law and Society. Her dissertation was entitled The South African Bread Cartel: A single case study exploring the scope for responsive regulation of white-collar crime in a developing country like South Africa. Varsha is currently pursuing a PhD, conducting an empirical investigation into state capture and the South African criminal justice system. She serves as the Postgraduate Teaching Assistant for the Public Law Department. Her area of interest is systemic crime, including white-collar and organised crime.
