The UCT Refugee Rights Unit also provides training to significant stakeholders on matters involving refugees. For instance, the unit has trained magistrates, Police Officers, and government officials both in South Africa and abroad. The Unit also conducts training and information sessions with refugee communities that are aimed at educating and empowering refugees on asylum processes and their rights in South Africa.
