Alexander (Sandy) Paterson participated in an authors’ meeting for the Protected Areas Law and Governance Capacity Building Project held in Bonn, Germany, in early September. The Project, run by the IUCN Environmental Law Centre, aims to build legal literacy on protected areas law and governance. Sandy has been appointed as lead author of the Global Curriculum on Protected Areas Law and Governance – one of the central components of the project - which he has been tasked with launching at the World Parks Congress in Sydney in November this year. Whilst in Bonn, Sandy together with fellow members of the project (Barbara Lausche, Patti Moore and Jamie Benidickson) enjoyed some typical German culinary delights. You can download a brochure on the Project here.
