Bio

Clifford is a Professor Emeritus in the Centre of Criminology, Department of Public Law, University of Cape Town. He is also a Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto and an Honorary Professor at the Austrailian National University. He co-leads the Global Risk Governance Programme within the Centre of Criminology with Dr. Annette Hübschle. He has held the Chair of Criminology, has been the Director of the Centre of Criminology, has been awarded a South African National Research Foundation's (NRF) A1 rating, and held the NRF Chair (SARChi) in Security and Justice.
