The UCT Refugee Rights Unit and the University at large is hosting the International Association of Refugee and Migration Judges (IARMJ) in their annual conference and pre-conference training. Judges from around the world will convene at UCT to learn from one another and from experts in the field of Refugee law and Migration, in an effort to establish and implement best practice in all jurisdictions. During the training and the conference plenary the IARMJ will also be commemorating and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Organisation of African Unity Convention Governing the Specific Aspects of Refugee Problems in Africa of 1969.
