Feedback from the Legal Researchers Training
On 31 July – 1 August , the JIFA team, consisting of Dame Linda Dobbs and Amy Sinclair, conducted legal researcher training for a group 11 students. 8 of the students who are from UCT and UWC’s law faculties are going to be interns at the Western Cape High Court and 3 have been placed at the Supreme Court of Appeals as part of the DGRU’s programme funded by the Norwegian Embassy in Pretoria. DGRU is delighted that the current group of UCT interns at the SCA are being joined by our first cohort of interns from the University of Venda. The training was well received by the group with feedback such as:
"The course was highly informative. It was an excellent learning experience, one which thoroughly engaged my already learned skills but also taught me valuable skills to use in future, more specifically, my future career in law." and,
"The course was very informative. Judge Dobbs and Amy offered a wealth of knowledge. Looking forward to a refresher course."
