DGRU Call for Research Assistants
RESEARCH ASSISTANTS OPPORTUNITY
The Democratic Governance and Rights Unit (DGRU) is looking for applicants to serve as ad hoc research assistants, whose main role would be to conduct research on an ad hoc basis for judges and lawyers on the African continent and provide research assistance to DGRU staff. Suitable candidates should be PhD law or LLM students registered at the University of Cape Town, with demonstrable experience and a track record as strong researchers.
Interested persons should submit their application constituting a cover letter (maximum 1 page), a sample of their written research work (maximum 5 pages) and a Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages) to Ghati Nyehita at ghati@africanlii.org. Please ensure that you indicate in your Cover letter the area of law (e.g. human rights, labour law, international trade, competition law, etc.) you are interested in.
Applications must be received by close of business on Friday 11 March 2022. Successful candidates will be required to attend an online induction.
