The City of Cape Town's densification strategy
On 12th November 2009 the DGRU together with the African Centre for Cities held a panel discussion entitled: Is densification just a cruel mirage? The role of law in transforming Cape Town into a compact city.
On the panel were:

The discussion was led by Richard Calland (DGRU) and Edgar Pieterse (African Centre for Cities). The event started with a presentation on the densification trends of the city of Cape Town by Michael O'Donovan.
