Dr Lufuno Sadiki
Her research interests’ centres around decolonisation and transformation within the discipline of Criminology, seeking to uncover and challenge the colonial underpinnings embedded within criminological theory, methodology, and practice, while advocating for more inclusive and diverse perspectives. Additionally, her scholarly inquiry encompasses the realm of victimisation among marginalised populations, particularly focusing on the experiences of homeless individuals and an exploration of risk and vulnerability among young adults and female offenders.
She is part of the editorial team of the Acta Criminologica: African Journal of Criminology and Victimology and recently launched journal (De)Constructing Criminology: International Perspectives. She is a member of the Department of Correctional Services Research Ethics Committee and of the South African Human Rights Commission Section 11 Committee on the National Question and Anti-Racism.
