The clinical work of the Detention and Rights clinic focuses on matters that specifically affect an asylum seeker or refugees’ rights, specifically their socio-economic rights, or where they are detained and or arrested. The Detention and Rights Clinic assists clients where their rights have been infringed, services have been refused or where due process has not been observed which has negatively impacted the client. This could be an employment, housing and rental, or healthcare issue.
