Event Report: Africa Accelerating conference

The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business hosted its annual Africa Accelerating Summit in Johannesburg from 25 - 27 October 2022, in hybrid format with participants joining the summit from Canada and South Africa. The Official Welcome was presented by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Opening Address was given by President Cyril Ramaphosa (see programme). A full account of the summit, including recordings, is available here. Prof Ncube spoke on a panel on Realizing the African Continental Free Trade Agreement: Canada’s ongoing role as a trusted third-party partner for long-term prosperity on day 2 of the  conference.
