The South African IP Law Journal has been published by Juta since 2013 and is co-edited by professors Caroline Ncube and Lee-Ann Tong. It is an accredited journal on the DHET list since 2017. The postdoc research fellow and researcher often serve as editorial assistants, so it is truly a team effort. The 2020 issue has been published with articles authored by IP experts and scholars from several South African universities (see table of contents and abstracts). It also includes an open access article by Fernando dos Santos, a former DG of the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation entitled 'Levelling the playing field to promote technology transfer and innovation in African least developed countries'.

The journal accepts submissions on a rolling basis through out the year. We are keen to publish on matters of interest to the South African IP community. Please send your contributions to editoriplj@uct.ac.za
